Barbara Jean Morgan

Hurricane, UT – Barbara Jean Morgan, 85, passed away on August 17, 2026, in Hurricane, UT. She was born on May 24, 1941, in Glendale, California to Jimmy Donavon and Carole Evelyn (Edwards) Eckardt. She married John Richard Morgan on June 27, 1960, in Houston, Texas. Bobbie grew up in Glendale, California and went to the University of Houston, where she met Rick. They moved to Simi Valley, CA and raised their 3 children. After their children were on their own, they moved to Georgia, Texas, Arizona and then settled in Hurricane, UT. She is survived by her sister, Cheryl (Mark) Williamson of Grass Valley, CA, her children, JD (Tarryn) Morgan of Austin, TX, Kim (Jeff) Stewart of Eagle Mountain, UT & Kelly Morgan of Eugene, OR. 12 grandchildren, Erica (Shaun), Jess, CJ, Lindsey, Kelsey (Hunter), Sydney (Carson), Keo, Kobe & Maddie and 2 great-grandchildren, Chloe & Declan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Donavon Eckardt & Carole Evelyn Schuble. Her husband, John Richard Morgan and her brother, Jimmy Donavon Eckhart, Jr and 1 grandchild, Kyla Morgan. The family would like to thank Inhabit Hospice, family and friends for their love and support during the past few years of her life. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Sand Hollow LDS Chapel located at 320 N 3400 West, Hurricane, UT 84737. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
