James Scott Brinkerhoff Sr

–

St George, Utah

James Scott Brinkerhoff Sr. was born October 27, 1949, in St. George, UT to Silas Vaughn and Loa DeMille Brinkerhoff. He married Faye Bundy in July of 1969. Together they had 5 sons, Scotty, Jason, Brady, Riley and Chance Brinkerhoff. They later divorced but continued raising their boys together. Scott lived a life of love and hard work. He worked as a cook for Desert Kitchen and Dick's for many years where he learned his love of cooking. He spent his summers herding sheep with his dad on Cedar Mountain. He then went on to working with his brother Dale in plumbing for the majority of his years. His final years were spent working for Reid Ashman where he made a lot of wonderful friends that refer to him as “Uncle Scott”. His greatest accomplishment was being a father, grandfather and now a great grandfather. He loved and cherished his sons, daughters in laws and especially the grandkids. He welcomed everyone into his heart and home. He never let anyone leave without being fed or sending them out the door with goodies. Scott was the very definition of a good friend to everyone he crossed paths with. He also had a great love for the outdoors and fishing. Rarely missing any sunrise or opportunity to be outside. He was one of a kind and will be very missed by his family and countless friends. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Von and Mardell Brinkerhoff and sister Jeniel Connell. He is survived by all of his sons, Scotty (Kristen) Brinkerhoff, Jason Brinkerhoff, Brady (Lexi) Brinkerhoff, Riley Brinkerhoff, Chance (Sierra) Brinkerhoff, grandkids Aspen (Wyatt) Gatchell, Breezie, Skylar, Nolan and Finley Brinkerhoff, great granddaughter Juniper James Gatchell, brothers Dale (Gayle) Brinkerhoff and Alpine (Helen) Brinkerhoff, sister Verlene Pace and countless nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held July 6th at 9:30 at the Washington City Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the Washington LDS Stake Center 446 E. Mangum Road. Washington, UT 84790
