Angela Goodrich

Angela Goodrich passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025 at the age of 45 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband, Matt and her children, Cody & Madison, Mckenna, Paige, Sam, Avvenly, Mercedes, Gracelyn, Alivia, Ella, Brielle, and her two grandsons Westyn & Kaysen. Angela was born in Bountiful, UT to Vick and Tamra Petersen on October 4, 1979. She met her husband, Captain Amazing Matt Goodrich, in high school. They married on March 21, 1998 and immediately started a family. Angela will tell you that she always planned on having two children, but she skipped two and went straight to three with twins on her second pregnancy. Angela and Matt kept bringing amazing children into this world and they didn’t stop until they got to a perfect 10. She loves every single one with her whole heart. Angela loves being a mom and she could not wait for the chance to be upgraded to grandma. Loving her twin grand babies was one of her greatest joys during her last year on this earth. Family is everything to Angela, and she treats everyone like family. Angela loves the gospel of Jesus Christ and spent countless hours serving in numerous capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but she did not stop there. Angela poured herself into serving her family, friends, and neighbors. She did it because she truly loved helping others. If she saw a need, she would quietly fill it. Although she had 10 children of her own, Angela was a mother to all. Whether she was feeding you with homemade cinnamon rolls, a delicious home cooked meal, or feeding your soul with kind words sprinkled in with a bit of good advice she was always helping someone grow. Angela accomplished so much with her time here. Matt always says that if Angela wants something to happen, it’s probably going to happen, and there is not much he or anyone else can do about it. Angela will leave a legacy of hard work, good manners, kindness, a bit of healthy stubbornness, service (the get in and get your hands dirty kind), loyal friendship, love of music and singing, cleanliness (maybe that’s why she loved the temple so much?), toughness, and a fierce love for those she cared for. It is no coincidence that the word angel is part of her name and there is no doubt that she will continue to care for all of us from the other side just like she always has. Angela’s family would like to thank all those who have supported them through this most difficult time by donations, service, meals and the many other ways loved ones have helped. Funeral services will be held on May 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the La Verkin Stake Center located at 481 North Main Street, La Verkin, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the same location.
