Delores Fay King

Alzheimer's has claimed another life, too soon Delores Fay King, 77, passed away on April 15, 2020, with her family. Dee was born on July 19, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to James and Muriel Hart. She is proceeded in death by her son James Walter King and her husband of 33 years, Roy King, and they are survived by their 12 other children: Kenneth (Melody King), Micheal, Danny, Christine (Mario Surriano), Darren (Stacy King), Julie, Crystal (Mike Kennedy), Christopher, Jennifer, Steven, Amanda and Laura. She had 42 grandchildren. Harley, Teela, Kera, Robbi, Angelo , Felicia, John, Summer, Kanyon, Aaron, Adam, Anastasia, Johnny, Amber, Louis, Keith, Scott, Tyson, Tristen, David, Matthew, Donny, Shaniya, Joey, Hailey, Billie, Malique, Mekhi, Terrick, Tayshia, Andrew, Evan, Lilli, Issac, Jayden, Jakob, Fabian, Kaemon, Kiana, Kira-Eto, Chaz, and 32 great grandchildren so far.. Delores had a Sister Gloria Jean (Carl Gray), and a brother Leon Hart. She travelled a lot when she was young since her family worked with the carnival. And she followed in her grandfather's footsteps and studied hard to become a great artist. She spent the majority of her life raising children. But she was intelligent enough to hold a master's degree. She was the most brilliant woman I have ever known. She was a lover of life and always made the best of a bad situation. Along with her family life, Dee devoted a significant amount of time to her church projects. Her favorite was teaching Sunday school, she loved children and she loved doing Genealogy and temple work. Dee had a strong sense of adventure; she loved camping and fishing with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Family outings to the lake, the beach or just to the park were always planned and prepared with plenty of food and drink enough for everyone, plus a few extra "just in case." She had a fabulous sense of humor. She was always up for a good prank, even when the joke was on her. She loved to laugh, dance, sing, listen to music and just take in the scenery. She was easy to please easy to talk to and always willing to listen. Dee had boundless energy, which she used to care for her children, making them feel heard, special, and loved in his or her own unique way. She was ever the optimist, had faith in God, and loved her country. Everyone that had the opportunity to know her is blessed. Burial services will be held at the Taylorsville Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah at noon on May 1, 2020 and a memorial gathering will be at Christine Surriano's house after.
