Frank J McMullin December 18, 1946 – July 10, 2026 Frank J McMullin, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on July 10, 2026, in Washington, Utah. He was born on December 18, 1946, in Roosevelt, Utah, on a snowy winter day, to Marriner Frank McMullin and Jennie Pearl Jenkins McMullin. He lived a life marked by faith, service, devotion to family, and love for others. Frank grew up on a farm in Randelett, Utah and graduated from Union High School in 1965. He served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from May 26, 1966, to 1968 in the Southeast Mexico Mission. Later, he and his wife, Marlene, served together from July 2018 to December 30, 2019, in the Mexico City West Mission. They spent 18 months in the State of Michoacán in a city called Maravatio and they treasured their memories of those they served. Frank pursued his education, starting with University of Utah prior to his mission then received his associate’s degree in computer science from LDS Business College. Later in life he went back to receive his associate’s degree in accounting and minored in Business from Dixie State College of Southern Utah. Now Known as Utah Tech University. Frank was inducted into the United States Army on July 7, 1970, and honorably answered the call to serve his country. Throughout his life, he carried forward the values of duty, humility, perseverance, and quiet strength. He married Marlene Taylor in the Utah Provo Temple for time and all eternity on December 6, 1974. Together they had 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. They moved from their hometown to the St. George Utah area in 1979 where Frank and Marlene raised their family with faith, devotion, and a deep commitment to serving others. Through the years, they were active in their church callings and quietly looked for ways to help those in need. Frank had a special tenderness for the elderly members of his ward, often visiting them for companionship, helping with yard work or home repairs, and ministering to those who were no longer able to get out on their own. Frank was an avid reader whose love of books began early and stayed with him throughout his life. He was always combing thrift stores and yard sales for new finds, eventually amassing a large and wonderfully diverse collection. He belonged to a book club called Goodreads. He often told his children how, as a young man, he would stay up late reading by flashlight until his mother came in and made him turn it off. Undeterred, he would wait quietly and continue reading by the faint ambient light, straining his eyes until he thought it was safe to switch the flashlight back on. He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Taylor McMullin; his children, Jeffery Frank McMullin (Sharron), Jenifer McMullin, Stephen M McMullin (Rexanne), Bryan Taylor McMullin (Laura), and Rachelle McMullin; his brothers, Joseph (Julie) McMullin and David (Chris) McMullin; and his sister, Katherine (Lyle) Talbot and sisters-in-laws Pam Robison, Nancy Robison and Marilyn Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marriner Frank McMullin and Jennie Pearl Jenkins McMullin; and his siblings, Collene (Charles) Walquist, Vern Robison, Bob Robison, and Grace Grover. Frank will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his faithful service, and the lasting influence he had on those who knew and loved him. His memory will continue to bless the lives of his family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 448 E. Mangum Road, Washington, Utah 84780. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Interment at the Washington City Cemetery with Military honors.
