Judith Sorenson Bonny

Judith S. Bonny was born on December 15, 1935, and passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at the age of 90. She was the oldest of four daughters and grew up in Southern California. She later attended college, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. While in college, she went on a blind date with an Air Force veteran and farm boy named Paul. What began as a simple introduction quickly grew into a deep and lasting love. They were married on September 12, 1959, and shared nearly 67 wonderful years together. Together they built a loving home in California and raised four children. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family and took great joy in caring for those she loved. Their home was always open and welcoming, and she warmly embraced her children’s friends as part of the family. She also enjoyed volunteering at church throughout her life. After retirement, she and Paul moved to Utah, where they embraced a joyful new chapter. They had already begun the blessing of becoming grandparents, and over the years their family continued to grow with the arrival of additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than gathering with family and watching the generations grow. During this time, she continued serving others through her church and community. She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Bonny. Her children and their families include: Jim (Andrea), and their child Kathryn; Tara (Jon), and their child Blake; Kevin (Katherine), and their children Michael, Jason and Kyle; and Chad and his children Anthony, Ashley, Andy, Avery, Amberley and Analey, plus 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two of her sisters; and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her youngest sister and her parents. She will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family. Through her warmth, presence, and care, she made others feel at home.
