Judith Ann Nicholson

St George, Utah – Judith Ann Nicholson, Age 86, passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2025 in St George, Utah. She was born November 8, 1938 in East Ely, Nevada to Allen Devoe Peterson and Neva Gertrude Herrell. She married Bradley Wells Nicholson in Los Angeles, California on December 20, 1957. Judy grew up in Concord, California and later went away to attend college at Brigham Young University, where she met her sweetheart Brad. She and Brad were married and moved back to Fremont, California where they started and raised their family. Judy and Brad were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Judy served in many leadership and teaching capacities throughout her life. She was blessed to be able to serve her family as a homemaker for many years, until eventually working as a loan officer for a bank until her retirement age. After retirement, Judy and Brad settled in Cedar City, Utah for a time, before eventually landing in St George, Utah. Judy enjoyed family trips to Pismo Beach to ride in dune buggies or trips to the Delta to go water skiing. She enjoyed quilting and made sure to make quilts for all her children to commemorate life events such as graduations, weddings or the birth of her grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook and was well known for her Christmas time Cherry Ring Rolls which she would make and distribute to all her friends and family each year. She is survived by: Bradley Wells Nicholson (spouse); Roger (son) and Mamie Nicholson of Union City, California; Brian (son) and Cheryl Nicholson of Pocatello, ID; Brett and Cynthia (daughter) Klumpp of Roy, Utah and Steven (son) and Lynelle Nicholson of Vancouver, Washington; 15 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren; and Gordon Peterson (brother). The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, care providers, friends and family that have served us and offered support. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 10am at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints meeting house located at 200 West Brigham Road, St George, UT 84790.
