Kathrine Renae Dowdrick-Anderson

Kathrine Renae Dowdrick-Anderson (30), passed away on January 13, 2023 in Murray, Utah. She was born October 20, 1992 in Sacramento, California to Kenneth & Denise Dowdrick. She was the oldest of their five children. Kathrine married her high school sweetheart, Zachary Phillip Anderson, on May 29, 2020 in St. George, Utah. Kathrine loved her life. She always said that you can choose to be happy. Her happy place was crafting; she was so talented and creative. It seemed like she was always sewing, quilting, embroidering, making handbags, paper quilling, crocheting, making jewelry, painting, or making anything that involved glitter and a glue gun. She enjoyed making handmade gifts for everyone she loved. Reading was another of Kathrine’s favorite pastimes; she would often read late into the night. Kathrine loved to learn. She excelled in school and graduated with High Honors from Serrano High School in Phelan, California. She continued her education by attending CalPoly Pomona, earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2017. Kathrine loved to keep busy. Her pets brought her joy and they will miss the way she lavished attention on them. She was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. She enjoyed working in her family’s quilt shop, teaching quilt classes, and making quilts to help pay her way through college. After college, she moved to St. George, Utah. She felt so fortunate to work at Cinnamon Hills school; she loved her work family and helping others. Kathrine loved her family. She is survived by her husband Zach, her parents Ken & Denise, and her “littles”: Kimberley & Elijah Stiyer, Kelley & Eric Hill, Kenneth Jr, and Kyle. Her husband’s family, Phillip Eric & Renee Anderson, and Alyssa & Mason Connally welcomed her as one of their own the first time they met her. Kathrine was so easy to love.
