Marjorie Ruth Adamson

Marjorie Ruth Adamson {Marj} was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 27, 1932 as Marjorie Ruth Cederoth {Buckley}. Marjorie passed away on December 29, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Washington, Utah two days after her 87th birthday. Marjorie was Born to Helen Eldredge {Cederoth Buckley) and Roy Eric Cederoth. Marjorie had 4 siblings, Vera Slipper { Thomas}, Genevieve Joan Woche (Jack}, Bruce Cederoth, and two step siblings, Suzanne Buckley Manning, Richard Buckley. Marjorie and Jack were childhood sweethearts and were married for over 69 years. They had two children, Sharon {Sherry} Adamson Karimi {Abe Karimi} and John LaMar Adamson {Beckie Dunford}. Marjorie was a very artistic and talented women, who owned a wholesale jewelry business as well as two retail stores, one in Trolley Square in SLC named Ear Gear, and one in Kapaa, Hawaii called the Nic Nak Shack. Marj and Jack lived in Salt Lake City Utah, where they raised their family and later moved to Kauai, Hawaii and then St George, Utah. Marjorie was fortunate to always be surrounded by her family, and many Grandchildren and Great Grand children. Her surviving Grand children are DaNae Adamson {Pat}, Damien Karimi {Rachel} Alyssa Gardner, Shawn Karimi {Lainee}, Hailee Adamson {Anthony} and Tawnee Adamson {Kyle}. Marjorie taught many of her talents to all of us, including painting, ceramics and many crafts, teaching all of us, why buy it if you can make it. but also ending up costing us about 5 times as much! She was the matriarch of our entire family and was surely the "BOSS" of all of us. Marjorie loved to cook and was very accomplished at it. It was a good thing because she wanted to feed everyone. All the kids in our family will remember Marjorie for her Apple juice Popsicles, that she always gave out {too freely} to all the kids. We are happy that she will be reunited with her husband Jack! Our family would like to send a special Thank you to Sun Tree hospice, without their team support we would not have been able to fulfill her wish to pass away in her own home. A celebration of her life, honoring Marjorie will be held at John and Beckie Adamson's home on Saturday January 11th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
