Penny & Johnnie Pritchett

Penelope (Penny) E. Pritchett (73) passed away Oct 07, 2023, surrounded by loved ones and was then followed by her beloved husband Johnnie Leo Pritchett (78) who peacefully passed away just 3 days later Oct 10, 2023. Both residents of St. George. Penelope was born October 23,1949 in Gunnison, Utah to June Owen Edwards and Helen Marie Cook Johnnie was born January 04,1945 in Provo, Utah to John Lenard Pritchett and Evelyn Wagers Johnnie and Penny had a beautiful love story with a beautiful ending. They met mid-life and their adventures together began. Johnnie with his sense of humor and Penny with her zest for life were unstoppable. They had so much fun with each other. They took such great care of each other, were best friends and never truly spent a day apart. Heaven couldn’t even keep them apart for long. Penny and Johnnie were both hard working, caring, and full of life. They cherished every one of their grandchildren and great grandchildren for the individuals they were, and they were the joy of their lives. They were loved by many and will live on through that love. They asked us not to go on about who they were survived by or preceded by, so we’ll go about it this way. They were wonderful parents, amazing grandparents, and great grandparents. They have many cherished friends and dear neighbors. They will be deeply missed by all of us but would discourage us from shedding a tear because they had faith in where they were going. We believe their eternal adventure together has just begun… The family would like to thank the first responders at Fire Station 7, The Gold Cross Ambulance paramedic team, St. George Regional Hospital ER and Hospice for their care of, Penny. We would also like to thank Southern Utah Veterans Home for their outstanding care of Johnnie. We truly could not have done this without your support. The love and compassion you show your residents, and their family is insurmountable. In lieu of Flowers: Donations to the American Heart Association @heart.org Graveside Funeral Services will be held on October 28, 2023, at 1pm at Tonaquint Cemetery 1777 S. Dixie Drive St. George, Utah 84770 A Celebration of Life will be held following Graveside Services from 3-5pm at Rainbow Bridge Clubhouse- 1526 N Dixie Downs Rd.
