Robert Michael Redfearn

Robert Michael Redfearn was born November 23, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, to Robert Milton Redfearn and Anna May Scott. He was their first-born son followed by two brothers, John Milton, August 31, 1946, and Dan Edward, September 19, 1951. The boys were very active. They enjoyed playing street football with their cousins, Earnie and Wayne Redfearn. Robert (Bob) was a big fan of Elvis Presley and a car lover. He loved going to the drag strip with his friends. He graduated from San Juan High School in 1962. He met his sweetheart, Bobbie Jean Koch, there. They were later married on August 10,1963. They had three children, Robert Michael Redfern Jr. born on May 31, 1964. Then along came Darren born on April 12, 1967, and Wendy Lea born on Oct 16, 1968. Bob was a hard worker. He worked at Slakey Brothers Plumbing Warehouse, Orbit Gas Station, and Palmer Datsun Dealership as a mechanic. He later managed and owned a Standard Gas Station. Then he owned a construction company where he fell and broke his leg and damaged his knee. He had to give up that line of work. He started working for Bally Arcade and traveled throughout the United States repairing their machines. He always loved telling about the places he had been. Bob was blessed with two grandchildren, Michael and Chad, and three great grandchildren, Maya, Michael Jr., and Ryder. After Bob retired, he moved from Bend, Oregon to St. George, Utah at the request of his brother, John, to help take care of their parents. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in the Bishop's Storehouse for several years and made many friends there. Even during that time of serve, he took care of his parents. He took them for rides, cooked meals, cleaned house, and helped them with their medical needs. After Pop passed away, he took Mom to lunch and to the movies every Friday. Bob was a very kind and loving person. He never spoke badly about anyone and rarely talked about himself. He passed away on August 22, 2022, at the age of 77 with cancer. Dedication of the grave will be held at Tonaquint Cemetery at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
