Sarah April Alexys Shepard Steiner

Sarah, lovingly known as Alexys, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the comfort of her home, in Ivins Utah, after suffering multiple strokes. She was born in Costa Rica June 9,1971. She was adopted at the age of six by her beloved parents Chase and Sandy Shepard and grew up in Provo Utah. Her parents and siblings adored her; she was a very loved and important part of her family. She was known as a social butterfly bringing love, joy, and happiness to all. As she grew up and became a mother, her four kids (Genevieve, Angela, Priscilla, and Ocean) were very important to her, and she centered her life around them. As well as her grandchildren who she was helping to raise at the time of her passing. She had been married earlier to Mike Perry and stayed amicable toward him. She remarried to Michael Steiner on Oct. 25, 2014, and was Sealed together on March 5, 2018, in the St. George temple. She was so in love with and enamored by him, they had a very special and deep bond. Alexys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and a friend to so many. She was an amazing artist. She also loved animals, singing, cooking, traveling, getting people to laugh and building people up, helping those in need, and spending time with family. She was a very proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed going as often as possible. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. Alexys will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, bright mind, creative soul and caring personality. She had a beautiful, nurturing, and bright spirit and will be terribly missed. She is survived by her husband Michael Steiner and her daughters: Genevieve, Angela, Priscilla and Ocean. And her grandkids: Ava, Violet, Charles, Havoc, Phoenyx, Paris and Rome. Also, she is survived by her siblings: Chuck (Tina) Shepard, Dan (Sara Beth), Shepard, Marrie (Justin Beardall), David (Terra) Shepard, Jenny (Joseph Shackelford), Lane (Katie) Shepard. Preceding her in death is her dad Chase Shepard, her mom Sandy Shepard, and her sister Dede Shepard. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at 5:00pm. At The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 625 E. Center St. Ivins, UT 84738. Graveside Service will be held on March 28, 2026, at 1:00pm East Lawn Memorial Hills, 4800 N. 650 E., Provo, U.T. 84601 The memories made and the laughter she brought will always be remembered. She will live on in our hearts forever as a blessing to all that knew her. We know we will see her again some sweet day.
