Stephanie Sharples

Stephanie Sharples, 32, of St. George Utah, passed away on July 24, 2020, in her sleep due to lifelong issues with her health. She was born September 20, 1987 in Phoenix Arizona, to Catherine Strickland and Norman A. Sharples. She was engaged to the love of her life David S. Martin, they were currently planning their wedding, which had been postponed due to the current COVID pandemic. Stephanie was the proud and loving mother of Shalynne M. Nelson (12) and Kiwan L. Wilkerson (9). She loved and adored her sweet little family as she did all of her extended family. Family was the most important thing to Stephanie. She is survived by David and her children, her Mom Catherine (Mike) Strickland, St. George, UT. and Dad Norman (Judy) Sharples, Chloride, AZ. Her sisters Christina Taylor North Salt Lake, UT. and Allison Sharples, Kingman, AZ. Her Grandfather Earl E. Markham, Aunts and Uncles; Earlene and Alan Woolslayer, Norman Markham, Debra Markham, and Donald Markham. Nieces and Nephews; Aricka and Zay’ah Dawson, and Jhonen and Liberty McCoy. Stephanie was preceded in Death by her Grandparents, Clarice C. Markham and Norman and Marjorie Sharples. From her traumatic birth, Stephanie had many health issues. She was a fighter and worked hard to be independent and an informed advocate for her many health struggles. Stephanie felt very strongly about being an organ donor and she was able to fulfill that passion, and urged everyone she knew to give the gift of life for someone else so that they could live their best life. Stephanie tried hard to keep a bright positive outlook on life and had a kind and generous spirit, she was compassionate and empathetic, and could always tell when someone needed a gentle smile, kind word, soft touch, or if need be, she gave the biggest and best bear hugs. Stephanie was always there for her family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that Stephanie is in the healing arms of her Savior and is living her best life in the body that she always dreamed would work for her. Her family would like to thank all those who have been so generous; Mark and Tina Kreuer, her future in laws, Melissa (Prudence) Martin, her future sister in law and BBF of 21 years, The First Responders, the staff of Dixie Regional Medical Center, The Coordinator and Donor Team of Donor Connect for being so compassionate and taking care such good care of our girl!
