Susan J Schildmeyer

Saint George, UT – Susan J. Schildmeyer joined her Lord Jesus for eternity on the morning of June 2, 2023, at the age of 77. She was surrounded by close family members, and comfortably passed with the morning rays of sunlight shining upon her beautiful face. Susan was born in an upstairs bedroom of an historical home in Blue Ash, OH, on May 8, 1946. Her father was an USAF officer, allowing Susan to travel the world. Intelligent, engaging, and a woman after God’s heart, she made friends easily and kept many close to her throughout her life. She met and married an Air Force officer, David L. Schildmeyer, and was a perfect companion and supporting teammate. Susan and David were married in Salem, OR, on June 26, 1977. She is survived by her husband David, children Kristin Dailey of Baker City, OR; Jeffrey Simons of Newnan, GA; John Schildmeyer of Queen Creek, AZ; and Rebecca Pepperdine of Cumming, GA. She is also survived by siblings, children’s spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the entire Neurological staff at the Saint George Regional Hospital. They exhibited utmost care and compassion to Susan and visiting family members during a difficult time. Additionally, the family thanks the St. George Rehab Center and Zion’s Way Hospice for their tender understanding and sensitivity. In lieu of flowers, Susan would ask that donations be made to Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse. We are comforted by the blessed assurance that Susan is with the Lord. She wants for nothing, and we will one day be welcomed by those loving arms and share eternal joy. A second celebration will be held the next day, Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 12:40 PM, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery chapel, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
