William Scott Hall

William Scott Hall, 54, of Leeds, UT passed away unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism September 12, 2016 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George UT. He was born November 8, 1961 in Salt Lake City, UT to William Elmer and Carlyn Stratton Hall. He enjoyed his childhood and teenage years in the Salt Lake valley before they moved to Leeds, UT where he graduated from Dixie High school in 1980. In 1984 he married his first wife Kristie Kendall and had four children together. They raised their family in LaVerkin, UT. He was truly a jack of all trades, throughout the years his employment consisted of maintenance mechanic at Moore business forms, Sky Mountain golf course, Macro Tech and Family Dollar Distribution Center. He owned a small engine repair shop called “Scotty’s sales and service”. He worked for Titan Stairs building custom stairs. For a short time he worked as a butcher at Lins and Farmers Market, his lifelong dream was to own his own meat processing facility. For many years, while living in LaVerkin, he was a volunteer fire fighter and EMT, where he grew close with and developed many lifelong friendships. He married Sandra Ruth Kinsey on February 13, 1999 in Dammeron Valley, UT. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. They lived happily together in LaVerkin and later Leeds, UT for 17 years. He loved her dearly and enjoyed camping, fishing, riding atv’s, and more than anything just spending time with her. He had always dreamed of buying a lodge somewhere in the mountains, where he and his wife could settle down and retire together. Scott preferred the simple things in life. He really enjoyed the outdoors; camping, fishing, and hunting, especially with his sons. He mastered Dutch oven cooking, everyone around loved everything he prepared. He always had a project that he was working on, something that he was fixing or yard work he was doing. Above all he loved his family more than anything in the world and was so proud of each and every one of them. His grand kids were his pride and joy. He loved going to all of their sporting events, birthdays and spending time with them as often as possible. He had a positive impact on so many people’s lives, he will be greatly missed. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; Children, Tyler (Stacie) Hall, Ryan (Kelli) Hall, Chelsie (Blake) Jensen, Lyndsie (Trevor) Sudweeks, Step-son Deric (Lori) Kinsey; 8 grandchildren with 2 on the way; mother Carlyn Hall; a brother, Karl; and sisters, Julie, Jodi, and Jill. He was preceded in death by his father Bill and sister LauraLyn. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 1:00 at the Leeds LDS Chapel. Visitations will be held Friday, September 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday 17th from 11:30 to 12:30, both at the Leeds Chapel.
