Winifred Mee

Winifred Mee returned to her Father in Heaven on January 13, 2014. Winnie's 12 year battle with cancer came to an end in her Enterprise, UT home, with her beloved husband, Joe, as always, right by her side. Winnie was born in Rochester, NY to George Pfromm and Donna Jean Brown. She moved to Southern California with her family just to meet the love of her life, Joseph Patrick Mee while still in Jr. High School. They were married on February 7, 1960. Winnie is survived by her husband Joseph Mee, their two sins, Jeff (Julie) Mee, Greg (Christine) Mee both of Redlands,CA and daughter Wendy (Jim) Paine of Enterprise, UT. Winnie loved being a grandma to her 10 grandkids ( Jennifer, Brian, Eric (Coutney), Bryce, Laura, Stephen, Heather (Ben), Christian (Stephany), Stacey and Joey. Winnie thoroughly loved and enjoyed each of her 9 great-grandkids. Joe, Winnie and their young family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1968, and were later sealed eternally together in the Los Angeles, CA Temple. She enjoyed a busy life of church service in every auxiliary. Winnie never took on an assignment that she didn't do her best at. Her diagnosis with cancer did not stop her from finding opportunities to serve. She brought in countless meals, visited with many shut- ins and uplifted the hearts of the grieving. Winnie usually did not wait to be asked, she just stepped in and served. Winnie is a wonderful woman who touched many lives with her service, her example of courage and her ability to endure so many hard things while still giving all she had. She will be greatly missed by her sweet husband, family, friends and community. But her influence will not be forgotten by all those who knew her. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the Enterprise Utah Stake Center at 80 S Center Street. Visitation will be held in the same location at 10 am in the Relief Society Room. Interment will be in the Enterprise City Cemetery.
