November 10, 1987 - March 29, 2022
Chet Ben Hansen “A.K.A.” Chester, Chester LaRue, Chet Boyardee, Cheddar Ben McHansen and Cheddar Bear. Chet was 34 years young. He was set free from his pain on March 29, 2022, in the St. George Regional Hospital ICU. He fought the battle of addiction for many years. He is now wrapped in the arms of our Savior being healed both body and spirit. Chet returned to the Lord in the loving arms of his wife Mitina, who never left his side. He was born November 10, 1987, in Price, UT to parents: Tracy Meeks and Dal Hansen. He eloped and married Mitina Mohr in Las Vegas, NV on January 1, 2021, at 12:00AM. Chet was raised in Price, UT. He spent much of his life between Price and St. George. He shared a passion for construction that he learned from his father Dal. He always looked up to him wanting to learn as much as he could. His brothers were his best friends. The “Tripod” is what they referred their relationship to. They had a constant competition of ping pong whenever the opportunity presented itself! Chet had a strong relationship with God our Creator. He found peace in reading His word and praying with his wife. Chet was a friend to anyone who crossed his path. He was incredibly loyal to his family. He was an amazing husband, step- father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Anyone who knew Chet could feel the light inside him that he desired to share with the rest of the world. Chet was a good man with a huge heart. Always asking others what they needed and how he could be of help. He was such a hard worker, a Jack of all trades! He could fix anything with a little duct tape and some starting fluid. If it had wheels Chet would ride it and ride it fast till the wheels fell off. He loved motocross, wrestling, and playing his guitar. When he played his guitar, you had to stop and listen to the music playing from his heart. He loved going on hikes with his wife to see the sun rise and set. He loved spending time in God’s beauty, that’s where he felt His Spirit the most. He enjoyed living a simple life and had a great desire to help others no matter what it was. He will be remembered by his quick mind, loving heart, rebel spirit and his beautiful blue eyes. Once again, he outsmarted us all…. We will miss you very much!!! God be with us all until we meet again at heaven’s gate. Chet is survived by: his loving wife Mitina Hansen; Stepson Madon Mohr; Father, Dal Hansen; Mother Tracy Meeks; Step-Father, Gary Meeks; Brothers, Skyler Hansen (Lacey Hansen), Drew Hansen (Mandi Hansen); Sister, Makayla Meeks (Nathan Quinn); Nephews, Trendyn Hansen, Nixon Hansen, Beau Hansen and Aiden Adair; and Nieces, Sadie Hansen, Paisley Hansen, Gentry Quinn and Bristy Cantrell.
