Edward Wilson Gubler, 83, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones in La Verkin, Utah following a short illness. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Janet LaRae Gubler; his daughter Susan (Mike) Campbell, his sons Joseph (Sherrie) Gubler, Boyd (Vicky) Gubler and Paul (Anne) Gubler, his daughters Katrina (Mike) Swanson, Julie Gubler, Wendi (Adam) Austed and Lynn Bedonie, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was born and raised in La Verkin, Utah, the son of Joseph Edward and Thora Gubler. He lived in Henderson, Nevada in his middle years and returned to La Verkin for the remainder of his life. Throughout his life he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and raised up his children according to the teachings of Christ, his prophets and the gospel. Through the years Edward held many positions, Bishop etc. but his favorite was being in primary with the children. One of his favorite scriptures was 3 Nephi Chapter 13 verse 33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you”. He devoted his life to family and the teachings of the gospel and walking in and with Christ. Mr. Gubler had a passion for gardening and had an amazing garden at his home, he grew many types of vegetables and fruits but his greatest accomplishment was growing his children into fine adults. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior from 9-10:45 a.m. at the La Verkin Stake Center with a burial to follow in the La Verkin City Cemetery.
