June T Gottfredson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

June Thornton Gottfredson at the age of 85 returned to her heavenly home into the open arms of her loving husband Tedd Gottfredson and parents Oliver Willis Thornton and Artemisia Bennett on July 18, 2022. June Thornton was born on June 19, 1937, in Provo, Utah. She was the eighth of nine children. She attended school in Provo, Utah. Shortly after graduating, June started working at the Provo bank where she worked in accounting. On September 14, 1963, June married Tedd E Gottfredson in a beautiful ceremony at the home of Wilford and Melva Gottfredson in Springville, Utah. June and Tedd moved to Las Vegas where they lived and raised their family for 44 years. June worked several jobs in Las Vegas for EG&G, Valley Bank and Harrington Horsey Insurance. She also babysat children for a while out of her home. Oh, how she loved those children. June was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings. Her most beloved one was that of a mother and grandmother. In 2007, June and Tedd moved to St. George, Utah to spend their remaining years close to family and friends. June enjoyed living close to her sisters and brothers. June will forever be known for how sweet and kind she was to everyone around her. To know June was to love her. She was very compassionate, intelligent and her commitment to righteousness was unwavering. June is survived by her four children. Chris Gottfredson of Las Vegas, NV, Tara Bananto (Bret) of Las Vegas, NV, Julie Cross (Shawn) of St. George, Utah, and Susan Zannis (Mark) of Henderson, NV. Thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on July 30, 2022, at 11:00 am, at the Morningside 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 930 S Morningside Drive, St. George, Utah 84790. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 9:30 am.
