Lloyd Lathrop Cooper

July 19, 1934 - May 9, 2022

Lloyd Lathrop Cooper, passed away May 9, 2022, youngest of five children of B. Nolan and Mabel Green Cooper. He is survived by his wife Betty Christina Cooper, four children, Mark Snow (Lizabeth), Diana Maxson (Jeff), Michael Snow and Courtney Kaczka (Gene) four grandchildren, Anthony Snow (Megan) Kaitlyn Kaczka, Jesse Barden, Colby Kaczka and an older brother John Cooper of Georgetown, Delaware, nephews and nieces and Alyson Snow, who will anxiously be waiting to see him again.   Upon graduating from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware he joined the US Navy and served on the USS Hancock during the Korean War where he received two accommodations. Lloyd attended college on the east coast getting his degrees in education.  Lloyd excelled in sports in high school and college and went on to enjoy senior softball in the Huntsman World Senior Games, Southern Utah Senior Softball Association and Stanislaus Senior Softball Association in Northern California.   His heart was with the fire service of Delaware. Lloyd was with the Camden-Wyoming Fire Co Station 41 and the Harrington Fire Co Station 50. While serving as a firefighter and an EMT.   Lloyd and two other crew members received one of the highest awards from the state of Delaware for bravery and rescue resulting in saving of two lives.        Lloyd will always be remembered for volunteering to help others, a huge Dixie State University fan and above all a protector of his family.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to one of the following: Camden-Wyoming Fire Company Station 41 Harrington Fire Company Station 50 Dixie State University – St. George, Utah Stanislaus Senior Softball Association – Modesto, California
