Robert Keith Pendley
January 28, 1955 - February 26, 2022
Robert Keith Pendley (Bob), 67, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his loving wife and friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in St. George, UT. Robert brought joy, love, and humor to everyone he met, and he will be greatly missed. He is now happily reunited with his mom Vera Warenski Pendley, his dad Charles Saywood Pendley, brother Ryan Pendley, and daughter Allison Pendley. We are grateful for the time we got to share with this giant “teddy bear” of a man who was so easy to love. Robert truly left it all on the field of life in his battle with Parkinson’s disease, never letting it defeat his spirit. We are grateful that he can finally stand up tall, walk independently, and be pain free. Robert was born on January 28, 1955 to loving parents who he shared with 4 siblings. His formative years were shaped by sports, particularly baseball and football, where he excelled and received state honors. Some of his fondest moments were catching for his older brother on the Cottonwood High School baseball team and blocking for him while they played together on the football team. Robert also loved music, and took pride in playing the trumpet and baritone in the band. He cherished all those he associated with and worked hard to maintain those relationships over the years. The pinnacle of his life was marrying his wife of 42 years, Tracie (Jenson), and being the father of 3 children, Allison, Taylor, and Chase. He relished in the athletic, academic, and personal successes of his 2 boys, and loved coaching and cheering them on. He carried that passion on in loving and supporting his 5 grandchildren. Unfortunately, his time was cut short with his daughter, Allison, but we can only imagine the sweet reunion the two of them are having. Besides his family, he will miss his 3 Harley Davidson motorcycles, which he practically treated as members of the family. He truly lived to ride. Robert is survived by his wife, Tracie, two sons, Taylor and Chase, two daughters-in-law, Bailey and Kalli, and 5 wonderful, lively grandchildren: Ryder, Walker, Axel, Gunnar, and Ellie. He is also survived by two of his brothers, Terry and Jed, sister, Carolyn, and many other family members and friends who loved and adored him. Robert loved deeply, valued the time he spent with others, and more than anything, enjoyed life. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Crescent 25th Ward Meetinghouse located at 11626 South 300 East, Draper, Utah 84020. A viewing will be held at the same meetinghouse on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Millcreek, Utah. Family and friends are invited to share tributes online at www.SerenityStG.com
