Robert Lee Sather

February 27, 1944 - January 15, 2022

Robert Lee Sather, aka Bobby was taken by the hand of our precious Heavenly Father and welcomed home on January 15, 2022. He passed away at his home with his eternal companion Annie faithfully by his side. Bobby was born to Robert Rown Sather and Bonnie Lee Ross Sather on February 27, 1944, in Roosevelt, UT. Bobby made a friend out of everyone that he met. He was always up for a joke and a good laugh. He knew how to make those around him feel special and welcome. He loved fast cars and motorcycles and won many awards for racing his formula cars. He loved to parachute and fly planes and ended up owning one of his own. He loved the ocean enough to obtain his captains license and deliver boats to many islands in the Pacific Ocean. He and Annie owned a trawler that was parked at Coronado Island that they loved to visit as much as possible. He also loved the mountains and fly fishing the streams. Bobby was basically a jack of all trades and accomplished all that he set out to do in this life. He and his great-grandson Krue had always talked about going fishing together and they accomplished this before he passed with a thumbs up and smiles from ear to ear. Bobby married the love of his life on January 1, 1994, Ruthann Barker, aka Annie. He and Annie were sealed for time and all eternity on March 23, 1996. They retired and moved to St. George, UT. They later sold their home and went traveling in their motorhome for three years and ended up back in St. George. Bobby is survived by the love of his life for 29 years, six children; Stephanie (Tim) Mills, Valerie Johnson, Sandra, aka Sammy Brogna, Rodney (Wendy) Anglesey, Natalie (Trent) Bay, and Angela (Travis) Hawkins, seven grand-children and six great grand-children. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, brother Randy Sather, best friend Chuck Marshall, and best friend/brother-in-law Charles Barker. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at the Pine View Estates 10th Ward LDS Chapel 628 S. 3000 E. St. George, UT. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Services will be available live stream via Zoom at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84976982616?pwd=RXhOcmo0VVpKVlVRdEJPZVZvUXZsdz09 Meeting ID: 849 7698 2616 Passcode: 289755 In lieu of flowers please donate to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at ipffoundation.org.
