Ruby Grace Winn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ruby Grace Winn, age 89, passed away on July 9, 2022, in Saint George, Utah. Ruby was born on Dec 22, 1932, in San Luis Obispo, California to Parents Oscar Thomas Buck and Ruby Blanche Dierlam. Older sister Olive and younger brother Tom completed the family. She was married to Dean C Winn March 12, 1949, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ruby’s early life was spent on the California Coast. One of the family homes is now a restaurant called McClintock’s in Shell Beach. Ruby’s family moved to Maricopa, California where her parents ran a successful business named Buck’s Café. After her marriage to Dean the couple moved to Bakersfield where they spent most of their married life. Ruby furthered her education and worked as a dental assistant. Ruby and her family were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Ruby served selflessly in many positions in her church. Ruby loved being a wife and mother, knitting, spending time at the beach and working in her flower gardens. She said more than once, “flowers feed my soul.” As empty nesters Ruby and Dean moved to Saint George, Utah. Ruby is survived by children: Clive and wife Kathy; Stewart and wife Patti; Jeffrey; Stephen and wife Susan; & brother Tom. She has Seventeen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. Ruby is preceded in death by husband Dean and sister Olive Finney. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S Dixie Dr., St. George, Utah.
