Alan Jon Drummond

Alan Jon Drummond at the age of 82 passed from his earthly home in Hurricane, Utah on December 17, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family members. Alan was born in Lyons, Nebraska on June 8, 1940 to very wonderful parents Clarance John Drummond and May Alta Peterson. Alan and Ronda were married in Modesto, California on August 2, 1987. They were sealed in the temple for all time and eternity on November 26, 1988. Alan was raised on a farm east of Lyons Nebraska. He graduated from Lyon’s High School in 1958. He was very active in sports, especially football and basketball. He also participated in the 4-H club, F.F.A. and showed livestock at the Burt County Fair. In June of 1959 he left his home in Lyons to seek employment and training in Theater Arts, settling in the Los Angeles area. In 1963 he met a very special person who introduced him to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which completely changed his life. In November of that same year, he was drafted into the service of the United States Army and served 2 years at Fort Lewis Washington. Upon returning from the service in 1966, he married Robyn Lynn Hobush. In January, 1967, Alan enrolled in Cleveland Chiropractic College of Los Angeles and graduated in May of 1970 and began practicing in Modesto, California in 1970. Alan is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alyssa Rose Drummond and sisters Magel Jane Rohloff, JoAnne Johnson, LaVonne (Bonnie) Rasmussen, Gladys Evalyn Pipal, and a son Lance Stewart Drummond. He is survived by his wife Ronda Lea Drummond, sister Mary Bruns of Pender, Nebraska, sons and daughters Derek Jon Drummond and his wife Sheila of Aurora Colorado, Shane Alan Drummond of Arkansas, Adrian Dee Andrews and her husband Eric of Modesto, California, Tana May May and her husband Corey of Modesto, California, Clint Ramsey Drummond and his wife Carissa of Denver, Colorado, Kayla Louise Drummond and her husband Jared of West Jordan, Utah, grandchildren Connor, Zachary, Kelsy, MacKenzie, Madison, Morgan, Macey, Logan, Corbin, Zade, Aleeya and Shelly. It was Alan’s wish to be cremated and his remains to be at home with his wife. A celebration of life will be in March, 2023. Contact the family for a date and time.
