Anthony "Tony" Leo Lobb

Anthony “Tony” Leo Lobb, age 65, passed away on December 18, 2025, in Washington, Utah, surrounded by loved ones. Born on January 15, 1960, in Hodgenville, Kentucky, Tony lived a life marked by compassion, curiosity, and connection. In his early years, Tony was influenced greatly by his paternal grandmother, Pearl Lobb. Grandma Pearl took Tony under her wing and taught him the joy of cooking and connecting with people through food and love. Following graduation from LaRue County High School, Tony joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 18. While his activity varied over the years, he consistently showed kindness and generosity toward missionaries wherever he lived—often feeding them and offering support in many meaningful ways. Following his mission for the Church in Anaheim, California, Tony enlisted in the United States Army. His military service was another testament to his sense of duty and willingness to serve others. Tony was a lifelong learner whose thirst for knowledge knew no bounds. He earned numerous academic degrees throughout his life, including master’s degrees in both business and nursing. His dedication to education reflected his deep commitment to personal growth and service to others. Professionally, Tony made a profound impact as an accomplished trauma nurse. He spent many years caring for patients with skill and empathy, including a decade of service at San Francisco General Hospital. His work in the medical field was not only a career but also a calling—one that allowed him to touch countless lives during moments of great need. Those who knew Tony remember him as one of a kind, outgoing, loving, and especially generous. He had an infectious personality and an endearing Southern charm that drew people in and made them feel seen and valued. A true foodie and avid reader, Tony delighted in exploring many cultures through food and diving into books that expanded his understanding of the world and sharing these things with those he loved. He also loved traveling and could often be found people-watching along the beaches of California—a pastime that combined his love for observation with his appreciation for human connection. Tony is survived by his mother Ethel Lobb; sisters Cindy Perkins and Michelle Everett; his beloved niece Jessica Helm; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and adopted family collected in his years of travel. He was preceded in death by his father Edwin Lobb and Grandma Pearl. Tony’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched—with care as a nurse, with warmth as a friend or family member, and with generosity as someone who always looked out for others. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him well. Tony was especially appreciative of his healthcare providers over his last few months in Southern Utah, including Dixie Hospice for end of life care.
