Carole O. Williams

Carole O. Williams, born May 30, 1937, in Logan, Utah, to Orland and Melba Hansen, passed away at the age of 87 on June 5, 2024, due to natural causes associated with age. Carole attended Logan High School and Utah State University (Chi Omega). Carole had one sister, Janice Hansen Despain, who passed away on April 22, 2007. Carole married David A. Williams on March 22, 1957. David and Carole spent their lives together happily married for over 57 years. David passed away on July 20, 2014. David and Carole had three sons, David A. Williams, Jr., Jeffery S. Williams (Laura), and Bradford T. Williams. David and Carole also had five grandchildren, Emily A. Williams (Tanner), Andrew J. Williams, Jonathon “Jack” S. Williams, Cole Williams, and Madeleine Williams. David and Carole raised their active family in the Cottonwood area of Salt Lake, and as a family, they loved and enjoyed all things Utah, from regular camping trips to near constant skiing during the winter. Carole was an avid hiker and would regularly spend the weekends in Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. One of her favorite hikes was Lake Blanche. Carole’s hiking adventures were not limited to Utah. Carole hiked the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim multiple times and she loved to share this adventure with her family and friends. Carole was a long-time member of the Cottonwood Country Club, where she played tennis and enjoyed lasting friendships. Carole was an outstanding bridge enthusiast and she competed in the Huntsman World Senior Games, winning several medals over the years. After retirement, David and Carole moved to Kayenta, Utah, and there they enjoyed an amazing “second act,” hosting parties and regular family events, including the annual Easter get-together and “Thanksmas.” David spent many days golfing at Bloomington Country Club, and Carole continued hiking and her love of bridge. Carole was loved by many and will be dearly missed. David and Carole’s family extends a heartfelt thanks for the tremendous love and support they have received. Carole is survived by her sons Jeff and Brad, her grandchildren, and many extended family members. Private family services will be held. Interment will take place at the Logan City Cemetery.
