Elbert Eugene Randall

Elbert “Bert” Eugene Randall, 91, of Washington, Utah, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Bert was born on September 17, 1934, in Layton, Utah to E. Smith Randall and Inez Heywood Randall. He grew up in Centerville, Utah and graduated from Davis High School. Bert attended the University of Utah and proudly served six months in the U.S. Army Reserves. He also faithfully served a mission in Southern California for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he shared his love of the gospel and testimony of service. On January 30th, 1995, Bert married the love of his life, Anna Louise Randall. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and their families. They raised 14 children: Terri (Robert), Paul (Jolene), Becky, Jay (Tonya), Jeff, Trina (Alan), Craig (Nastia), Sheri (Kirk), Teri (Curtis), Lora (Todd), Leah, Erin, Amber, and David. His family continued to grow with 43 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Bert is survived by his wife, Anna Louise Randall; his children; his 43 grandchildren; his 42 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Diane. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Jan and Mark, his sons Paul, Joe, and David, and many dear friends. He served as a Scout leader and was a guiding light to many, offering wisdom, laughter, and advice that shaped lives beyond his own family. Bert’s legacy is one of love, service, and connection. In his later years, Bert worked for St. George Ford, where he served as a service shuttle driver. Over his many years there, he connected with countless people, creating friendships and leaving a lasting impression. He was recognized with a 15-year service award before his retirement. Bert was known for his sense of humor, his knack for adventure, and his way of making everyone feel loved. A “momma’s boy” at heart, he carried with him the values of kindness, service, and faith throughout his life. He had a passion for sailing — even racing sailboats — and enjoyed woodworking, leatherworking, traveling, music, and playing the piano. He also had a deep appreciation for simple joys, like a good bowl of ice cream. A private celebration of life will be held in Washington, Utah. Following the services, Bert’s remains are to be lovingly scattered in a private family gathering. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses at Summit Hospice, and the Washington 8th Ward for providing their services at the celebration of life.
