&#55356;� In Loving Memory of Jackie Leimomi Smith &#55356;� On October 22, 2025, our beloved mother, wife, and friend, Jacqueline “Jackie” Leimomi Smith, left this world surrounded by love at St. George Regional Hospital in Utah. She was 60 years old. Born on May 2, 1965, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Mel and Dolly Tate, Jackie carried the aloha spirit wherever she went. She grew up with the rhythm of island life, the sound of hula, the taste of Hawaiian food, and a heart full of family and laughter. Even after moving to the mainland at the age of five, first to Washington State and later to Castle Rock, Colorado, she kept her culture alive through the way she lived and loved. Jackie graduated from Douglas County High School and soon after married Jeff Smith on March 31, 1985. Together, they shared four decades of marriage, raising a family built on loyalty, faith, and endless love. As a proud military wife and a mother of three, Jackie carried strength and grace through every challenge, always putting her family first. She worked as a bank teller, security officer and slot attendant, where her kindness touched countless lives. Outside of work, Jackie was full of joy and energy, she loved fishing, volleyball, basketball, karaoke, rooting for the Broncos and a good day playing her mahjong and dominos. But her greatest happiness came from time spent with her children and eleven grandchildren, cheering them on, enjoying family get-togethers, and making every day brighter just by being herself. Jackie was selfless, caring, and full of life, the kind of person who made everyone feel like family. Her laughter filled every room, and her love will echo through the generations she inspired. She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Smith; her children, Robert Smith, Samantha Clark, and Christopher Smith, all of Mesquite, Nevada; her mother, father, and brother, Dolly Tate, Mel Tate and Melvyn Tate; and her eleven precious grandchildren. Though she’s no longer with us in body, her spirit remains, in every song, every shared meal, every moment of laughter.
