Judy Hutchinson

Saint George, UT –Judy Hutchinson, age 71, passed away on September 3, 2017. She was born on November 23, 1945 to John and Mildred Joseph in Chicago, Illinois. She met her life-long partner, Will Hutchinson, in Half Day, Illinois, and was married on June 10, 1967, in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Judy grew up in Chicago, Illinois where she attended Walsh Elementary and graduated from Harrison High School in January 1964. Some of her activities in high school included the Cappella Choir, Girls Chorus, Treble Choir, Student helper, Girls Athletic Association, Sten Club, Co-Captain Usherettes, Student Council, Future Teachers of America and Girls Bowling. Judy had many hobbies and interests such as hiking National Park trails during our many vacations. She loved the social aspects of bowling and also the walking & talking group with the Dixie Social Club. She loved to visit Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada for the shopping, shows, food and slot machines. Judy spent the first part of her adult life as a wonderful mother and housewife. Before we started our family, she worked as a Secretary at Montgomery Wards, an Insurance Company and an Engineering Firm. After the boys were old enough for school, she worked for and retired from the Des Plaines, Illinois School District as a Secretary to the Talented and Gifted Department. Judy is survived by her husband, Will, her two boys, Mark (April) of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Eric (Ji Young) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mother Mildred of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Sister JoAnn of St. George, Utah, Brother, John of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and granddaughters Isabelle, Mary, Rita, and Lucy Hutchinson of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Judy is preceded in death by her Father, John Joseph. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Dixie Regional Cancer Center, the Dixie Regional Medical Center, the IHC hospice nurses, nurses’ aides and staff, our dear, dear friends, and nameless others for all the kindness and devotion shown at such a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made for the cure of cancer to your local cancer institution. A Celebration of Life service will be held on October 7, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church located at: 407 North Main Street, Mount Prospect, IL 60056 A second Celebration of Life service will be held October 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at New Promise Lutheran Church located at: 244 S Valley View Dr, St George, UT 84770
