Kevin Scott Kershaw

Kevin Scott Kershaw, 1953 – 2023, passed away on September 11, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 30, 1953, to Eddie R. and Ruth Duncombe Kershaw, as the first of four children. He attended Granite High School and the University of Utah where he developed his love of all things pertaining to Utah sports. In 1973, he married the love of his life Judy Ann Reynolds. They recently celebrated 50 years of what Kersh called “marital bliss”. Over the course of their marriage, they welcomed four beautiful children into their home. Kevin worked in the heavy equipment industry where he made lifelong friends of the customers he called on. Kevin was known for his sense of humor and quit wit. He was always willing to enjoy a good laugh with anyone. He served faithfully as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout his life and held many callings, his favorites being a Bishop in a college ward at SUU, and most recent being the mission leader in his Leeds ward where he greatly enjoyed working with the missionaries. In his younger years, he loved to compete in recreational sports; baseball, basketball, and softball. He eventually gave way to golf where he would spend countless hours on the course with his friends. As much as he enjoyed these endeavors, his true passion was his family. Despite a busy schedule, Kevin made time to attend track, cross country, swim meets, dance recitals, band, orchestra, and choir concerts for each of his children. As the grandchildren grew he attended soccer, water polo, school plays, and many, many other events. There was never a time that his children or grand-children could not find him cheering them on from the sidelines. Our Papa will be greatly missed. Kevin is survived by his loving wife Judy, his children Kameron (Kimberly), Kelli Carter (Michael), Kara Layton (Selwyn), and Kassie Pebworth (Lonnie), his sister Susan (Troy), two brothers Kyle (Edie) and Ron, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 3:00 pm at the LDS chapel in Leeds, Utah. Friends and family may call on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and again on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Kanarraville Cemetery.
