Lindsay Kay Whitehead

Lindsay Kay Whitehead, 70, passed away August 3, 2026, in Cedar City, Utah. He was born November 16, 1955, in Santa Monica, California to Kay Melvin Whitehead and Janet Ogden Whitehead. Lindsay married Tracy Proctor on April 12, 1986 (later divorced). They spent many good years together, experienced a lot of great adventures, and remained friends. Together, they had one son, Lindsay KayLyle Whitehead. In 1957, Lindsay's family moved to Cedar City, Utah, where he attended school and graduated from Cedar High School in 1974. Following high school, he became an EMT and attended Dixie College. He later owned and operated Cedar City Coca-Cola Bottling Company with his brother until retiring. Lindsay was a hard worker his entire life and always helped anyone in need. Growing up and as an adult, Lindsay enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved camping, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and exploring trails in Colorado. He had a lifelong love for motorcycles and old cars. Lindsay's greatest joys in life were his son and granddaughters, Kaedrey and Kessley. They meant the world to him. Lindsay is survived by his son, Lindsay KayLyle Whitehead (Chelsey); granddaughters, Kaedrey and Kessley Whitehead; brother, David Ogden Whitehead (Cindy); step-sister, Michaela Miles; Tracy Whitehead; nieces, Kim Bustos (Ben), CraeLin Whitehead; nephew, David Melvin Whitehead (Shera). Lindsay was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; brother, Melvin Craig Whitehead; great-nephew, KC McCrae Whitehead. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar City Cemetery, 685 N. Main Street, Cedar City, Utah. Arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah, 986-9100.
