Lydia Nelson Obituary (2005

(2005 ~ 2013) Lydia has passed on from her life at Red Cliffs Health and Rehab and has moved on to Rocky Mountain Home Care and Hospice. Lydia began her life at Red Cliffs as an activity assistant in the secure unit and quickly moved on to Director of the department, and then into admissions / marketing department (never truly leaving prior activities behind). Marketing director is where she spent the majority of her time at the facility, learning all she could about enriching the lives of the residents. She thrived on helping the residents and their families navigate the complicated world of senior healthcare. She loved supporting the staff and could always find a reason for a party. Lydia’s passing was preceded by therapist, Steve Talbot, who she will be joining on the other side. She is survived by her long-time friend, mentor, and administrator, Joann Archibald; her cheery partner, Tiffany Schwager; home girls, Kaylene Slade, Hayley Pearson, and Amber Black. Candace White will be taking on most of her responsibilities. The Red Cliffs Family would like to invite you to memorial services being held in her honor at the facility, June 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Traditional luncheon will be provided (yes there will be funeral potatoes… oh and red velvet cupcakes!!). Memorial Services will be overseen by SereniCare Funeral Home and The Cremation Center of Southern Utah.
