Mary Louise DiNardi

Mary Louise DiNardi passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, in Washington, Utah at the age of 93. Mary was born on May 10, 1932, in Phoenix, Arizona. In her early childhood she lived in Nelson, Nevada, in a small dirt-floor home along the Colorado River prior to the construction of Hoover Dam. She lived most of her life in Las Vegas, Nevada. She married Joseph John DiNardi on November 6, 1949. They were blessed with 7 children, Kathy, Keene, Ray, Joey, John, Carmella, and Felicia. Family was central to her life, and she devoted herself to her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Mary was a gifted seamstress. She made all her kid's clothes when they were young and all her girls' wedding dresses. She also did beautiful embroidery work, made many quilts, created stained glass windows and lamp shades, and was a talented artist with both pastel and oil paintings. She volunteered as a docent at Spring Mountain Ranch. She was also an avid cyclist and completed the 150-mile Multiple Sclerosis fundraising ride from Henderson, Nevada to the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City several times. She also took on the adventure of 2 hot air balloon rides! Mary was a dedicated and faithful member if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she found community and spiritual strength in her later years. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph John DiNardi 9-29-1995; her son, Joey, who passed away as an infant in 1954; and her daughter, Felicia, who passed away 2-06- 2006, her parents; Frank and Elizabeth Thompson, and her siblings; Betty Marie Campbell Faragher, and Zander Dale Thompson. She is survived by her children Kathy Bell, Keene (Gregg) Sterrett, Ray (Libby) DiNardi, John (Kim) DiNardi, Carmella DiNardi; as well as dozens of grandchildren and great- grandchildren who will continue her legacy of creativity, service, and love of family. Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, January 31, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the LDS Chapel 600 E Telegraph St., Washington, Utah 84780. Services will begin at 11:30 AM. Her ashes will be scattered in her childhood town of Nelson, Nevada, as per her wishes, on Sunday February 1, 2026.
