Patrica Ann Stowell

Patricia Ann Stowell, age 83, returned to her Heavenly home December 4, 2013, peacefully at her home in Ivins, Utah, with family by her side. She is survived by Donald her husband of 64 years whom she married in January 1951, four children, Pamela Gibson, Gregory, Jeffery and Paul; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Her husband joined the Church in 1954 and she was sealed to her husband and children in the Los Angeles LDS Temple in 1957. She was the daughter of John Leonard O'Bryon and Mildred Louise Koon. Patricia was born in Whittier, California, September 22, 1930, and spent most her life in California. Patricia enjoyed playing tennis during her lifetime along with many other activities. She met her husband to be as a sophomore in High School. Her parents joined the LDS faith in 1933 and she was baptized in 1938 and became a member of the LDS Church. Patricia served faithfully in various Church positions throughout her life. She inherited her beautiful voice from her Mother and sang and led choirs several times during her life. Patricia loved being a visiting teacher within the Relief Society program of the Church. She also had the opportunity of serving as a counselor within Ward and Stake Relief Societies in Livermore California. Patricia also served as the president of the Sacramento, California Ward Relief Society for seven years. She had the privilege of singing in the choir at one of sessions during the dedication of the Oakland Temple and shaking the hand of President David O. McKay. The highlight of her life was serving as an ordinance worker in the Oakland, California Temple and loved serving these past five years as an ordinance worker here in the St George Temple. Patricia will be missed by her family, friends and all she has befriended throughout her life. She was truly a Good and faithful daughter of our Father-in-Heaven and his son Jesus Christ our savior and redeemer. Funeral services will be held at Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 12:00 noon at the Ivins 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 240 East 1060 South, Ivins, UT. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 until 11:45. Interment will be at the Ivins City Cemetery. In lieu flowers please make donations to the LDS Temple fund.
