Rachel Marshall

In loving memory of Alice Rachel Marshall. A very loved wife, mother, daughter, aunt, grandma, great grandmother, and friend. On March 15, 2026 she returned to our heavenly father and to her loving husband who has waited 25 years to see his sweetheart again. Rachel was born to Richard Allen and Alta Parrish in Kanosh, Ut on October 27, 1939. She attended school and graduated from Millard High School, Fillmore Utah in 1958. She attended Phoenix School of Business in 1959. Rachel married the love of her life, Eldon DeRoy Marshall on August 4, 1960 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple for time and all eternity. They had three children Tawnia, Michelle, and Brad. They lived in Fillmore and Salt Lake City before moving to St. George, where they lived the majority of their lives. In St. George, they owned and operated Kentucky Fried Chicken for 18 years. They made many life long friends while working there. Many of their employees looked to them as mentors and role models. Some of mom’s hobbies included tennis, bowling, sewing, knitting, quilting, baking, cake decorating, canning, making jam, and doing genealogy. She also loved to go yard selling. She loved to watch her grandkids and great grandkids sporting events. She never wanted to miss a game and in her older years would even watch them over zoom. Over the years she made hundreds of birthday cakes and even more quilts. One Christmas she even made a quilt for everyone of her great grandkids. Each year you would be so happy if it was your turn to receive one of her special handmade quilts. She served in many callings and capacities in the church. In January 1993 her and her sweetheart Eldon served a mission to Louisville, Kentucky doing microfilming. Survived by her children- Tawnia Miller (Jeff), Michelle Gale (Chris), Brad Marshall. Grandchildren-Tia Ellison (Landon) Josh Adams (Janelle), Shalee Winn (Bobby), Tiffanie Bulow (Brandon), Mandy Hare (Cody), Melisa Chynoweth (Flint), Sandi Bulow (Brett), Audria Sanders (Keller), Tyler Marshall (Jazmin), Sam Marshall. Great Grand Children-Tanner,Chloe, Saydee (Layton), Draker, Halee, Gavin, Kylee, Taelor, Dally, Kayzlee, Billy, Tayzlee, Braxton, Bryce, Hanxton, Maddi, Breckon, Preslie, Parker, Maya, Adalee, Braden, Cohen. Preceded in death by her husband Eldon Marshall, her parents, her daughter in law Becky Marshall, and her grandchildren Whitney Keeney, Cody Keeney, Scott Eldon Marshall, and Huxley Eldon Hare. Other loved family Justin and Kaylnn Miller and family, Jesse and Tionna Miller and family, Jaden and Dani Miller and family, Kelby and Angie Gale and family, Trevor Gale, Dallas and Shelby Gale and family, Mykayla and Dallon Hayden and family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Beaver Valley Long Term Care who provided compassionate care and support during her final days. She was loved and cared for well. In celebration of Rachel’s life graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday March 21, 2026 at Fillmore City Cemetery.
