Rhanee Gubler

Washington, UT — Rhanee Gubler, 89, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, surrounded by the tender mercies of loved ones gathered at her bedside, offering her their love and gratitude. Rhanee was born on January 16, 1936, in Hurricane, Utah to Harris and Lucille Gubler. Rhanee lived with a full heart and a spirited soul. She expressed her love not only through words, but through every action, every kindness, and every moment she shared. As a nurse, she cared for others with compassion and strength. She understood people—their fears, their hopes, and their needs. Simply being near her made others feel safe. Her work was never just a job; it was a reflection of who she was: someone who healed, who served, and who lifted others. At home, Rhanee poured that same love into her children. She treasured them, her grandchildren, and all who came after. She carried a deep love for her parents, Harris Hunt Gubler and Lucille Hinton Gubler, and for her siblings—Cherrie, Marlene, and Joe. Her family was the center and joy of her life. Her children always knew when their Grandpa was coming to visit—Mother was happier. She made him a banana cream pie every time. He taught Rhanee charity, love, and that every life is precious. When her brother Joe visited, her burdens were lifted simply by his presence. Her love was especially strong for her father, brothers, and sisters. Rhanee saw beauty in the world around her and surrounded herself with it. Her yard bloomed with flowers and birds, and she fed hummingbirds year-round. Creativity filled her life. She loved to cook and share her treats. She could draw a pattern, tailor it to fit, and sew a dress in under an hour. She altered clothing as gifts and made beautiful quilts for family and friends, always freely given. Her artistic talents touched every corner of her life. All of Mother’s friendships lasted a lifetime. After her dear friend of 65 years, Judy Iverson, passed away, Rhanee’s sorrow was deep and enduring. Her children are profoundly grateful for her remaining friends, some of 80 plus years, Helen, JoAnn, and Clark. We love you as family. Rhanee’s love was pure and unwavering. She lived as a true disciple of Christ. Mother had her five children by the time she was 25 and carried the full responsibility of raising them on her shoulders. She gave everything to creating a good life for them. Children: Steve Humphries (Betty, deceased), Cindy Turner (Rhaldo, deceased), Lanice Ogden (Roger), Bradley Gubler, Morgan Humphries (Della) Rhanee is survived by 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren. Siblings: Marlene (Price) Workman, (deceased) Cherrie (Than) Naegle, Joe (Dianne) Gubler Husband: Ed Ballard (deceased) Stepdaughter: Sam Ballard (deceased) Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, December 12, from 9:00–10:00 AM at the LDS Chapel, 446 E Mangum Rd, Washington, UT. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at the La Verkin Cemetery.
