Robert Clegg Kroff

Robert Clegg Kroff (Bob), 88, passed away at home on July 27, 2026, in Washington, Utah. He was born November 6, 1937, in Tooele, Utah to Eugene Kroff and Edith Clegg Kroff. He was the first of eight children in his family. Bob married Carol Ann Hendricksen on June 29, 1956, and they were the parents of nine children and one son who died at birth, David Patrick. They later divorced. Bob married Carol Fulmer on October 29, 1996. Bob graduated from BYU and was a favorite teacher and principal for Washington County School District and then Tooele County School District where he retired as the Curriculum Director. He lived for many years in Springdale, Utah where he owned his store, “Bob’s Market.” He loved teaching and interacting with people and was always a lot of fun. Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had many callings throughout his life. He had a love of family history and spent hours with his brothers working on Family Search. He and his second wife, Carol, served two missions at the family history center in St. George, Utah. Family was everything to Bob. He often expressed his love and appreciation for all his kids. A favorite tradition of his was the annual Kroff Kids family reunion every July which has been going for 35 years. His health prevented him from attending the last few years, but the tradition continues. We will miss his outgoing personality, his laugh, and his hugs and kisses. He always had sound advice and loving concern for his family. Bob is survived by his wife, Carol; his children Julie (Rob) Felton, Lori (Robert) Pettit, Suzie (Ronald) Read, Robert (Ria) Kroff, Michael (Donna) Kroff, Darin (Flo) Kroff, Diane (Scott) Johnson, Jason (Darian) Kroff, and Stephanie (Brad) Hawker; stepson Gary (Cheryl) Coy; 36 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren; five siblings (Richard, Paul, Bryan, Kathy, and Jerry) and their spouses. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as two of his brothers, David and Joel. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Serenity Funeral of Southern Utah located at 1316 S 400 E #A5, St. George, Utah. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Tooele LDS Chapel located at 253 South 200 East, Tooele, Utah. A second viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the same location. Burial in the Tooele Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the wonderful care team from Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, St. George, Utah.
