Sherrie Beaumont Gubler

Sherrie (Beaumont) Gubler, 72, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on July 31, 2022. Sherrie was born on April 28, 1950, in LaVerkin Utah. She was the second of seven children of Melvin and Ramona (Gubler) Gifford. Sherrie is survived by [her children], Clark (Julie) Beaumont, Robert Beaumont, Nancy (Quentin) Sorenson, Barbara (Mike) Shin and her 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, [siblings] Connie Roberts, Thora Eagar, Melvin Gifford, and Melva Gifford. She is also survived by her dear loving Husband, Doug Gubler. Although they had only a short time together, it was filled with love, fun, shenanigans and happiness. Sherrie is also survived by horses, goats, dogs, cats, fish, cows, chickens and probably a whole host of other animals that held her heart and filled her with joy. Sherrie was preceded in death by [her son] John Thomas Beaumont, [Sisters] Katherine Miles and Mona Wilcox, [mother and father] Melvin and Ramona Gifford, and Corwyn Beaumont. Sherrie loved animals but her heart of hearts was tied to horses: riding, training, buggying, breeding and teaching others the joy of all things equestrian. Since she was a small girl, her world rotated around horses. The horse she had as a child, Apache, was reacquired by her as an adult and was the namesake for many horses that followed. She delighted in dreaming of the potential offspring of certain horse combinations and spent the springtimes sleeping near the barn in anticipation of the coming foals. Sherrie absolutely loved being outdoors, helping everyone around her, and had a knack for making everyone from all walks of life feel comfortable and loved. Sherrie was known for her infectious smile, boisterous laughter, friendly and compassionate ear, and her kindness that was without judgment. At 70 years old she found love again with a high-school sweetheart, Doug Gubler. They were married and sealed together in the LDS Temple. What fun it was to see the sheer giddiness she enjoyed in the months before her passing. A service celebrating her life will be held on August 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the LaVerkin West Chapel (70 South 300 West LaVerkin).
