William David Edwards

William David Edwards passed away June 19th 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 66 in his home surrounded, and embraced by his family. He was born in Salt Lake City Utah on September 20, 1954 to William Dudley Edwards, and Margery (Chris) Adams Edwards. He was married to the love of his life Karolyn Gale Edwards in Cedar City on December 11th 1984. Growing up he moved to many places, and spoke of many of these memories. He spoke of these places that included Salt Lake City, California, Idaho and Alaska, but ultimately ended up in Utah which he considered home. Early in his life he married and was blessed with a beautiful daughter Mary Bobbi. Dave always felt most at home in Cedar City where his Grandmother Estelle Edwards lived. He loved Cedar mountain and Duck Creek. Dave returned to Cedar City where he met the love of his life Karolyn. He married his love, and took on three boys. A year later his baby boy and namesake arrived. Their family moved to St George,and to Washington City, Utah where Dave raised four boys into adulthood. Those boys went on to follow his example as they raised their own families. David loved the outdoors. He loved hiking with his boys when they were young and teaching his boys about the history of the land. Dave loved the native american culture in the area. After the kids grew up he and his love would take their other boys (the dogs) on these adventures. Dave is Survived by his wife Karolyn Gale Edwards, his daughter Mary Buck (Allen) Odessa, Washington, Trevor Edwards (Jodie)St.George Utah, Bevin Edwards (Nicole) Carlsbad,California, Shawn Edwards (Chartinay)Washington, Utah ,and William Dylan Edwards (Shantel) LaVerkin Utah. 13 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and his 4th Great Granddaughter on her way. Brother. Erik Edwards, Sister, Shannon Edwards and brother, Christopher Michael Edwards. He was preceded in death by both his parents. We would like to give special thanks to Sunny for her loving care and support to Dave and the whole family words cannot express how much your presence and care has meant to us.
